Departure Day!
Mood:  caffeinated
It's time to head off to DC. My flight leaves at 10:15 this morning from Midway. Barring delays, I should be in DC at 1:00pm Eastern Time (Noon here in Chicago). I'm excited, and can't wait to get there to relax for a few days. I'll share all aspects (and I do mean ALL aspects) while I'm there and when I get back, so stay tuned!!!

Tony challenged me to put up a Damn It Top Ten list. So I guess I should list my top ten favorite things (not in any particular order):

10. 3+ Day Weekends
9. A Sausage/Cheese stuffed pizza from Giordano's
8. A paycheck that I can hold on to for more than 2 days
7. A good freak session with my baby
6. My Car
5. Shopping at Aurora Outlet Mall (or Best Buy for that matter)
4. The view from my apartment
3. Church (especially MY church)
2. Lunch at Popeye's
1. MONEY
(this list is subject to change)

OK, back to the trip. I've already come up with a list of the clubs I wanna check out. Here's a short list:
Atlas Lizard
Omega DC
Cobalt
Edge/Wet

This is only a partial list. I plan on going to at least 6 or 7 clubs there this weekend. I figure if I hit two a night I can make the rounds before the end of the weekend. In addition, Tweet will be performing there this weekend! I know she's not as big as she used to be (or is she?), but the opportunity is enormous! Stay tuned!!!

Let me show you how trifling Sprint PCS is. I had a past-due balance that I blew off and was going to pay on the 31st. When I called them trying to do things the right way, this guy from collections tells me to hold on while he looks up some information, transfers me back into the main menu and then proceeds to turn my cell phone OFF. Ah, but don't worry, as I always have a back up plan. Needless to say it didn't stay off very long, and as of the time of this writing it is back in service.

Re'ale came over on yesterday so we could spend some time together before I left. He is going to miss me while I'm gone, but I told him that we would definitely stay in contact, and that I'd give him the number to the hotel (which won't really be necessary now since Sprint is back on) once I checked in and got the room number.

Vince wanted me to meet his co-workers today. Unfortunately seeing as I went to sleep at 2AM, got right back up at 5:45AM to move my car to a "legal" spot, and am preparing to fly for almost two hours, the odds of that happening are slim to none. Once I get to DC I'm going straight to the hotel, and going BACK TO SLEEP. I'll get up about 4:00pm DC time and get ready for dinner, then meet up with Vince at that point. This isn't the last trip to DC and I'm sure I'll meet up with Vince's co-workers on the next trip.

So that's about it for right now. It's 6:15AM, and I think I can lay back down for about 45 minutes before I get up and shower, and then hit the coffee...no I mean hit the door and get Starbucks on the way to the airport. According to my boarding pass (thank you ATA for allowing online check-in!) my boarding time is at 9:45AM, and I intend to be there on time for that. I will post another entry at some point when I land, check in and am able to get to a computer. May God bless all of you this Memorial Day Weekend, and I'll chat with you all later!!!
